PROTECTION FROM IONIZING RADIATION

1st level Academic Master

In accordance with current legislation (Legislative Decree 101/2020 and ss. mm. and ii.), the Master will provide the contents required in order to take the ministerial qualification examination for the exercise of the profession of "1st level Radiation Protection Expert".

The master will be activated upon the achievement of a minimum threshold of candidates (min. 16 students).


OBJECTIVES

The aim of the course is to provide high profile content in the field of radiation protection, so as to enable them to pass the state exam for the qualification to the profession of 1st degree radiation protection expert, as well as to provide solid foundation for the continuation to the 2nd and 3rd grade abilitation.

 

TARGET STUDENTS

The master is aimed at candidates intending to carry out the professional activity of expert in radiation protection (previously, Qualified Expert) at health facilities, industries and research centres, holding radiological equipment for a voltage not exceeding 400 kV.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physics, chemistry and industrial chemistry.

Bachelor's Degree in different areas will be evaluated by the Scientific Board along with the Curriculum Vitae

 

CONTENTS OF THE MASTER

The master is structured into 5 macro-areas, each of which deals with a specific theme. The Master includes theoretical lessons and an internship period, which must be carried out in presence, drawing from a wide variety of internship locations throughout the national territory. The supervisors are university professors, professionals working for public and private institutions, which will also serve as a reference for the candidates throughout their professional activity.
