CULTURAL INITIATIVES FOR AN ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP

On 9 December 2019, a cinema screening took place - at the Farnese cinema in Rome, in Campo de' Fiori - of "Europa: che Passione! Storia di un amore tormentato", the musical story of the European integration process directed by Daniela Martinelli, of which there are now six different language versions represented in seven European countries. The event concluded with a structured debate activity with over 200 participants. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis at the end of February 2020 unfortunately forced the cancellation of the second date, already scheduled in Milan at the Cinema Palestrina with (again!) over 200 seats booked. Faced with the closure of cinemas and theatres, the EUStudy project nevertheless continued its activities, dedicating more energy and effort to supporting the school system, at the heart of the project's objectives and also of the broader social crisis triggered by the pandemic. And it did so while still maintaining a high level of creative and artistic commitment! Precisely during the first lockdown, EUStudy promoted an original and creative initiative for primary and secondary schools across Italy to celebrate Europe Day (9 May), building pedagogical activities around the creative video 9 MAGGIO – IL BENE COMUNE by Daniela Martinelli for Gli Spaesati. EUStudy proposed to teachers of those school orders a series of didactic ideas that you will find attached here. They also inspired a series of interventions linked to the research activity and aimed at providing stimuli to the professional educating community through specialised magazines (see the other EUStudy pages on this site).

The specialised press agency DIREGIOVANI.IT dedicated this article to the first trial of the video.
