Shared and conscious knowledge

Learning planning and scheduling are measured in ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) that has been introduced in the Italian education system by the Ministerial Decree no. 509/99. The decree states that one credit stands for 25 student’s working hours.

Every learning activity of students (classes and own learning) is scheduled and controlled by the system. The ECTS value is largely put into effect by the eCampus learning system that can’t provide concessions but can improve learning effectiveness and efficiency.

The learning system of the eCampus University improves a learning style based on a shared and conscious knowledge that allows students to be successful at school. Students together with their tutors plan their programs of study and plan them again whenever it is needed. Students are always aware of the worth of every single scheduled activity and of the consequent delay in achieving their graduation if they postpone their exams.

Tutors are responsible for the whole plan and vouch for the students’ achievement of the target. Students and tutors share the commitment and responsibility they took in charge at the beginning of the course and that they renew from time to time through a learning contract binding on both tutors and students. Tutors can require the presence of a tutor highly specialized in a particular subject, whenever students find difficulty in learning it.
