Carlo Varalda, Ph.D.

He graduated in Physical Education at the Istituto Superiore Statale di Educazione Fisica in Perugia, and attained the Degree in Physical Education at the Tor Vergata University in Rome, as well as a Master in Posturology attained at the University of the Studies La Sapienza - Rome; and a Ph.D in "Sports Science, Physical Education and Ergonomics".
He trained worked for various basketball teams (men's teams and women's) as physical trainer and coach, reaching the Serie A.
He is a member of the teaching staff (as associate Professor) at the Foro Italico University - Rome.
Physical Trainer of the Italian National Weightlifting Team until the Beijing Games.
Strength Coach of the Italian National Rowing and Pararowing teams  until the London Games.
Strength Coach and Athletic Trainer of the Italian Short Track team for the PyeongChang Games, as well as for the next Winter Olympic Games.
He authored various scientific articles and books on the sports activities; participated to various national and international congresses.
CSCS and CPT Certificate for the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Executive Director of NSCA Italy.
He trains athletes in various team/individual sporting disciplines providing functional evaluation and athletic training programs.
Director of the Strength Academy of the Italian Weightlifting Federation.
Member of the teaching Stadff of the CONI School of Sport.
Technical consultant for companies operating in the field of Sports, functional training and evaluation.
He directs a Functional Evaluation Center.
